FOR THE WOMAN WHO LOOKS FINE
Therapy Built For The Woman Who Looks Fine And Isn’t
- Between the job, the commute you already do, and everyone at home needing a piece of you — do any of these sound familiar?
- High-functioning anxiety that nobody at work can see, and boundaries that evaporate the moment someone pushes back.
- Relationship patterns you can name but can’t seem to change, and communication that swings between over-explaining and shutting down.
- Guilt that arrives on schedule every time you rest — and a faith you’d like included in the work, always your call.
- Telehealth therapy turns a 90-minute office trip into a 55-minute session and a cup of tea after. Same licensed counselor, same clinical depth — none of the logistics.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
DBT is a powerful therapy that helps you manage intense emotions. You’ll learn to use practical tools like mindfulness, emotional regulation, & healthy communication. The result? The ability to respond—rather than react—when life feels overwhelming.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a structured, goal-focused therapy that helps you recognize and change negative thought patterns. You’ll learn to respond with healthy coping skills and effective strategies. It’s designed to empower you to take an active role in your healing.

FAQs About Therapy in Beaverton
These are the questions Washington County women ask most before starting therapy. Not seeing yours? Get more information when you book a call today.
Because sessions are telehealth, availability isn’t limited by office hours in one Beaverton building. The first step is a free 15-minute phone consultation you book online in about a minute. On that call you’ll talk through what’s going on, ask your questions, and typically know by the end whether it’s a fit. If it is, you’ll schedule your first full 50-55 minute session from there. There’s no referral needed and no intake paperwork before you decide. Compared with waiting weeks for an in-office opening, most women find the online path meaningfully faster. Book the call and you’re already moving.
Walk In Freedom Counseling currently accepts Oregon Health Plan. Coverage specifics depend on your individual plan, so the free consultation call is the fastest way to a clear yes-or-no answer before any commitment. Bring your plan information and ask directly — you’ll get a straight answer, not a runaround. If you have private insurance instead of OHP, you can pay upfront and request a superbill to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many private plans reimburse part of the cost this way, though amounts vary. Either way, you’ll understand the money side completely before your first full session.
Yes — faith-based therapy is available for women who want their Christian faith integrated into care, delivered by a licensed clinician using DBT and CBT. Faith integration is always optional; you set how much or how little belongs in the room. If your faith community is central to your life, therapy can honor that while still doing rigorous clinical work on boundaries, anxiety, and relationships. If you’d rather keep the two separate, that is fully respected. What you don’t have to do is choose between a counselor who shares your faith and one who holds a state license — this practice is both. Raise it on the consultation call and shape the work the way you want it.
Nothing changes. Oregon licensure covers you anywhere in the state — home in Beaverton, office in Portland, weekend in Lincoln City. County lines are irrelevant to telehealth; the only legal requirement is that you are located in Oregon at the time of each session. That also covers Hillsboro, Tigard, Tualatin, Sherwood, Aloha, and everywhere else in the county. If you relocate within Oregon, your sessions continue without interruption or re-paperwork. If you leave Oregon entirely, therapy pauses — but life coaching is offered separately and carries no state restriction. Ask about the coaching option on your consultation call if a move is on your horizon.
Your first session is a relaxed conversation, not an interrogation. You’ll talk through your background, current challenges, goals, and any past counseling experiences. Annalisa listens for the patterns underneath — where boundaries collapse, where anxiety hides, where communication breaks down. From there she builds a personalized plan: the DBT and CBT skills you’ll work on, how progress gets tracked, and how faith fits in if you want it to. You’ll leave knowing exactly what the work looks like and why. Sessions after that are weekly, 50-55 minutes, one-on-one, by secure video. The whole structure is designed so you always know where you are and what’s next.
